Revolutionary Days The Battle of Kettle Creek 246th Anniversary Celebration and Reenactment.
Cathy PeabodySaturday, January 18, 2025Attention all American history lovers and Patriots – step back in time for a weekend of living history and a lot of family fun in historic Washington GA at Revolutionary Days, the 246th Anniversary celebration of the Battle of Kettle Creek February 7-9.
This historic battle, fought just outside Washington in Wilkes County GA, on February 14, 1779, was the only Revolutionary War battle won in Georgia, marking a significant turning point that deterred the British in securing Loyalist support in the Southern colonies.
