The spooky season will soon be upon us, so we want to prepare early for the Tombstones at the Toombs House annual event. On Saturday, August 10th we will be recycling some of our old tombstones and preparing new ones. If you're interested in assisting, let us know by sending a Facebook message or call us at 706-678-2226. Be sure to wear your painting clothes. Gloves will be provided. On that same day, we'll be holding an event serving ice cold tea and lemonade on the porch and discussing some of Washington's historic news and the papers that were an imortant part of relaying information to our community.
