Dental Hygienist
We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team and provide quality care to our patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of dental hygiene services, including scaling and polishing teeth, taking and developing x-rays, providing patient education and applying preventive materials to the teeth. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, ability to provide patient education, be able to work independently and as part of a team, have a passion for providing quality dental care, and is able to be corrected when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Educate patients on oral hygiene.
- Perform dental cleanings and other preventive treatments.
- Perform diagnostic tests and screenings to detect oral health problems.
- Take dental x-rays and perform other tests to diagnose oral health issues.
- Provide preventive care such as fluoride treatments and sealants.
- Remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth.
- Apply topical anesthetics to gums prior to treatment.
- Instruct patients on proper brushing, flossing, and other oral hygiene techniques.
- Scan patient using iTero and other scanning devices available.
- Keep up with hygiene statistics.
- Participate in staff meetings and staff training.
- Ability to cross train throughout the office.
- Contact patients for scheduling and recall program.
