About Us

It is the mission of the Washington Wilkes Historical Foundation to preserve, develop and restore sites, buildings, and other structures of historical or architectural interest in and around Washington and Wilkes County, Georgia; while also participating in programs and projects for the benefit of historical education.

The Foundation remains very active throughout the year on a variety of projects that help promote, portray and develop the culturally rich fabric of our southern heritage.
